Stokes Engine

This example of the Stokes engine runs in demonstration mode using compressed air.

The engine has run as a two stroke on gas with four firing cycles per turn and as a four stroke with two firing cycles per rotation. The unique feature of the engine is the designer chooses the pattern of volumetric expansion, as the engine is not limited to the (not very efficient) pattern of volumetric expansion forced onto most engines by the presence of a crankshaft.
